Ciao :) I have arrived! Most of you should have received an email from me by now, but if not, I’m glad you’re checking here! I’ll leave my contact info and anything else you may need to know.
Still nothing to report. No pictures, no gelato, no beautiful sites. I was in a hotel for a few days and only just moved into my host family’s apartment last night. The Tettamanti Family is wonderful and I’ll be sure to tell you more about them as I get to know them. If you want to know where I live in reference to everything else, check out a map of Florence. I’m in Campo di Marte, about 2 blocks above that dome-like shape on the map. My school is in Piazza Savonarola (both areas will be in the upper right corner of the map). The historic center can be found by looking for the Duomo, The Ponte Vecchio, The Odeon Theatre, and Santa Croce.
It’s almost time for my last meeting of orientation, so I have to go soon. Classes start on Monday .. but I’m still not sure of my schedule. I’ll post it when I know!
